Stratos says will extend CIP deadline to Dec 31
NEW YORK, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Stratos Global Corp SGB.TO said on Friday it agreed to extend the takeover deadline by CIP till Dec. 31 to allow U.S. regulatory approval.
The deal still requires approval from the U.S. Federal Communication Commission, said Stratos, which provides telecommunications services to customers in remote parts of the world. The prior deadline was Nov. 30.
CIP, an investment firm focused on satellite services agreed to buy Stratos for C$294 million ($274.8 million). ($1=$1.07 Canadian) (Reporting by Lisa Lee; Editing by Andre Grenon)
