Depomed says court grants favorable judgment in patent suit
Dec 13 (Reuters) - Pharmaceutical company Depomed Inc (DEPO.O: Quote, Profile, Research) said a federal court granted a summary judgment in favor of the company in a patent lawsuit against IVAX Corp.
In a statement, the company said the impact of the ruling was that IVAX's infringement of Depomed's patents has been established as a matter of law, without the need for a trial on the issue.
In January 2006, Depomed sued IVAX for infringement of some U.S. Patents that related to Depomed's AcuForm drug delivery technology. (Reporting by Avishek Mishra in Bangalore; Editing by Amitha Rajan)
