CommScope to acquire Andrew Corp for $2.6 billion

June 27 (Reuters) - Communication network firm CommScope Inc. (CTV.N) said it agreed to acquire Andrew Corp. ANDW.O, which sells communications cable, for about $2.6 billion.

The $15 a share offer represents a 16 percent premium over Andrew's closing share price on Tuesday, CommScope said in a statement.

The acquisition is expected to add to CommScope's earnings in the first full year after closing, it said. (Reporting by Saumyadeb Chakrabarty in Bangalore)
