MEXICO CITY, Sept 28 A landslide in the mountains of the southwestern Mexican state of Oaxaca may have killed, injured or buried 500 to 600 people, Oaxaca Governor Ulises Ruiz told local network Televisa on Tuesday.
"We haven't reached the location yet," Ruiz said, adding that rescue teams were being dispatched to the area. Heavy rain loosened the soil around Santa Maria Tlahuitoltepec, a town about a four-hour drive away from the capital city of Oaxaca. (Reporting by Cyntia Barrera Diaz)
