Anastasio readies "Boardwalk" for June
NEW YORK (Billboard) - Ex-Phish frontman Trey Anastasio will release "Original Boardwalk Style" -- a live album recorded with an iteration of his solo band dubbed the Undectet -- on June 10.
The album was recorded at the House of Blues in Atlantic City, N.J., on December 30 and 31, 2006, at the end of the band's tour -- and just 15 days after Anastasio's much-publicized arrest in New York for driving while under the influence of drugs and with a suspended license.
The Undectet includes Tony Hall (bass, vocals), Ray Paczkowski (keyboards), Jeff Sipe (drums), Christina Durfee (vocals, synthesizer), Jennifer Hartswick (vocals, trumpet), Peter Apfelbaum (saxophone, flute), Russell Remington (saxophone, flute), Jeff Cressman (trombone), Dave Grippo (saxophone) and Cyro Baptista (percussion).
Proceeds from the sale of the album -- which will be released through Anastasio's own Rubber Jungle Records, in different CD and vinyl configurations -- will benefit the Seven Below Arts Initiative, established to foster artistic development and support arts education in the state of Vermont.
