Rigel Pharmaceuticals prices public offering

NEW YORK, May 2 (Reuters) - Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (RIGL.O) on Wednesday priced its public offering of 5 million shares of common stock at $9.75 per share.

All of the shares are being offered by Rigel. The underwriters have an option to purchase up to an additional 750,000 shares to cover over-allotments.

The offering is expected to close on May 8, the clinical-stage drug developer said in a statement.

Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and Lehman Brothers Inc. will act as joint book-runners, Rigel said.
