FACTBOX: Security developments in Iraq

(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 1530 GMT (11:30 a.m. EDT) on Friday:

* Denotes new or updated item

* BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier was killed by a roadside bomb 12 miles southwest of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

* FALLUJA - A police officer was killed and four were wounded when a suicide car bomber drover into the compound of a police station in Falluja, police said.

FALLUJA - Six U.S. marines were wounded and their Arabic-speaking interpreter was killed when a roadside bomb exploded near their patrol in Falluja, 50 km (32 miles) west of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

FALLUJA - A roadside bomb exploded in Falluja when Iraqi police tried to safely dispose of it, the U.S. military said. The blast wounded two policemen.

FALLUJA - Gunmen attacked the home of Falluja's local council leader Hameed al-Hashin but were repelled by his guards returning fire. No one was hurt.

NEAR HAWIJA - A roadside bomb blast killed one of the occupants of a car and wounded four others near the town of Hawija, 210 km (130 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Six bodies were found in different districts of Baghdad on Thursday, police said.
