* BAGHDAD - A car bomb killed three civilians and wounded another fifteen in central Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - A car bomb struck a police patrol in the Mansour district in western Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding two others, police said.
MOSUL- A suicide bomber blew himself up at an Iraqi police checkpoint in the Baaj district of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, wounding three policemen, police said.
MOSUL - The U.S. military said they killed four gunmen and captured two wanted men southwest of Mosul.
BAGHDAD - A bomb planted beneath a car wounded a ministry of defense employee and two other people in the Mansour district in western Baghdad, police said
AL-WIHDA - Iraqi security forces found the remains of four people and two bags filled with human bones at a former army intelligence centre in the town of al-Wihda, 25 km (15 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Iraqi troops sweeping through the Baghdad stronghold of Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr have found large quantities of weapons, including helicopter missiles and an anti-aircraft gun, the U.S military said.
BAGHDAD - Iraqi national police and U.S. forces seized a number of weapons caches and killed one gunman on Friday in northwest Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
