(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 11:45 a.m. EDT on Thursday.

* BAGHDAD - A parked car bomb exploded near a police patrol in the Mansour neighborhood of Baghdad, killed seven people, including three policemen, police said. The attack wounded 19 civilians.

BAGHDAD - The U.S. military said it killed 17 gunmen in several clashes across Baghdad, including in the Shi'ite slum of Sadr City. It said the incidents took place on Wednesday and Thursday.

BAGHDAD - A Katyusha rocket landed in central Baghdad, killing three people and wounding six, police said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded near a small bus, killing one person and wounding four others in the Zayouna district of eastern Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Three people were wounded by a roadside bomb near the National Theatre in central Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - Five Iraqi soldiers were wounded when a roadside bomb went off near their patrol near the al-Shaab National Stadium in central Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - U.S. forces detained 13 suspected insurgents during operations around the country targeting al Qaeda in Iraq, the U.S. military said.  Continued...
