Sudan says does not recognize ICC on Bashir
KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Sudan said on Monday it did not recognize any decree coming from the International Criminal Court (ICC) after the chief prosecutor sought an arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
"We consider the indictment of either the president or any other normal citizen of Sudan the same -- we don't recognize whatever comes out from the ICC, to us it is non-existent," Foreign Ministry spokesman Ali al-Sadig told Reuters.
He added Sudan would continue with the Darfur peace process and would protect all United Nations personnel in the country.
