FACTBOX-Speaker line-up for the Democratic Convention

(Reuters) - Illinois Sen. Barack Obama will accept the Democratic presidential nomination on Thursday night at the party's upcoming convention in Denver.

Delaware Sen. Joseph Biden will accept the vice presidential nomination on Wednesday night.

Here is the schedule of key speakers.

MONDAY, August 25

Michelle Obama, the candidate's wife, will be the prime-time speaker on the convention's opening day, which will focus on Obama's life story. Other speakers will include U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and Craig Robinson, Michelle Obama's older brother.

Monday night will also feature a tribute to Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy, a party icon now battling brain cancer.

TUESDAY, August 26

Former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, a U.S. Senate candidate, will headline a day devoted to economic issues. New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, who narrowly lost the nomination to Obama, will speak as well.

Other speakers include Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey and former Transportation Secretary Federico Pena.

WEDNESDAY, August 27

Obama's vice presidential running mate, Joseph Biden, will be the keynote speaker. National security will be the theme of the day.

Other speakers include former President Bill Clinton, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh, West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, Colorado Sen. Ken Salazar, House Majority Whip James Clyburn, Pennsylvania Rep. Patrick Murphy and Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth, a 2006 House candidate.

THURSDAY, August 28

Barack Obama will accept the party's presidential nomination. He will give his prime-time speech at Denver's football stadium, Invesco Field at Mile High, to allow more than 75,000 people to attend.

Former Vice President Al Gore and Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter will also speak.
