WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush in his State of the Union address on Monday will emphasize the need to reduce U.S. dependence on oil.

"Our security, our prosperity and our environment all require reducing our dependence on oil," Bush will say in the speech according to excerpts released by the White House.

He has long advocated developing other sources of energy. Bush also will advocate steps to address climate change.

"Let us create a new international clean technology fund, which will help developing nations like India and China make greater use of clean energy sources," he said.
