FACTBOX: Security developments in Iraq, Sept 19

(Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 0930 GMT on Wednesday.

MOSUL - The Iraqi army killed 14 gunmen and wounded three during clashes in eastern Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, the Iraqi army said. A soldier was killed and three wounded in the clashes.

BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier was killed during a small arms fire attack while conducting combat operations in southern Baghdad on Tuesday, the U.S. military said.

MOSUL - Two bodies were found shot on Tuesday in the northern city of Mosul, police said.

DIWANIYA - Gunmen killed a member of the Sadr movement on Tuesday near his house in the city of Diwaniya, 180 km (110 miles) south of Baghdad, police said.

KIRKUK - Three policemen were wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near their patrol in Kirkuk, 250 km (155 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
