FACTBOX: Military and civilian deaths in Iraq

July 7 - One British soldier was killed in the southern Iraqi city of Basra overnight, a military spokesman said on Saturday. Another British soldier died in a non-combat incident inside a military base in Basra.

Six American troops were killed in Iraq in the past two days, mostly in Baghdad, the military said.

Following are the latest figures for military deaths in Iraq and Iraqi civilians killed in attacks since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003:
