FACTBOX: Military and civilian deaths in Iraq
(Reuters) - Four U.S. soldiers died on Monday in an explosion while on combat duty in Diyala province, the U.S. military said.
Three U.S. soldiers were killed when a roadside bomb hit their convoy south of Baghdad on Saturday, the U.S. military said on Tuesday.
One U.S. soldier was killed and another wounded on Monday when an armor-piercing bomb detonated, hitting their vehicle during combat operations in western Baghdad, the U.S. military said.
A British soldier was killed by small arms fire during an operation in Basra on Monday, Britain's Defence Ministry said.
