ALGIERS (Reuters) - A suicide attacker appears to have detonated one of the two car bombs that exploded in Algiers on Tuesday, Interior Minister Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni said.

"For the attack which took place outside (the U.N. building) it seems that it was carried out by a suicide bomber," Zerhouni told state radio. Zerhouni earlier was reported by the official APS news agency as saying both explosions were caused by car bombs.
