BEIRUT (Reuters) - Hezbollah's chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Thursday the group was ready for "open war" with Israel if the Jewish state wanted it after a top commander in Syria was killed.

"Zionists, if you want this type of open war then let the whole world hear: let it be an open war," Nasrallah told mourners at the funeral of Imad Moughniyah, killed by a bomb in Damascus on Tuesday.

Hezbollah has accused Israel of killing Moughniyah but the Israeli government denied any links.
