Israel says remains committed to Palestinian talks
JERUSALEM (Reuters) - A renewed Israeli-Syrian peace process will not come at the expense of ongoing statehood negotiations with the Palestinians, a senior Israeli official said on Wednesday.
"The government remains committed to pursuing both the Syrian and Palestinian tracks," said the official, who disclosed after an official announcement of indirect Israeli-Syrian talks that top aides to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert have been in Turkey since Monday, along with Syrian representatives.
