Apache says pulls workers from E. Gulf due to Ike

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Apache Corp said on Monday it was pulling workers from the Eastern Gulf of Mexico due to the threat from Hurricane Ike.

Many of the eastern platforms were shut and not expected to be back on line before Ike passes through production areas this week, the company said.

The restoration of some production was expected to be delayed because of the storm, Apache said.
