HOUSTON (Reuters) - The U.S. space shuttle Endeavour docked at the International Space Station more than 200 miles above Earth on Wednesday on a mission to deliver a Japanese space laboratory.

Endeavour, which launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Tuesday, carried the first of three pieces of an elaborate lab called Kibo that is Japan's primary contribution to the 15-nation, $100 billion orbiting outpost. The main part of the lab was scheduled for launch in May.
