ROME (Reuters) - Iran sees its nuclear talks with the EU as a way to improve diplomatic relations with Europe, the newly appointed Iranian chief nuclear negotiator, Saeed Jalili, said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters after a meeting with EU diplomatic chief Javier Solana in Rome, Jalili said Tehran supported "dialogue and negotiation."

Iran's nuclear negotiators and Solana told a news conference they hope for a fresh round of talks by the end of November after what both sides described as a "constructive" meeting.
