Handball-French men qualify for Beijing Olympics

PARIS, May 31 (Reuters) - France confirmed their place in the Beijing Olympics handball tournament with a 28-24 victory over 2005 world champions Spain in a qualification tournament on Saturday.

The 1995 and 2001 world champions, who took bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, go through courtesy of a 30-30 draw between Tunisia and Norway, the two other teams playing in the Paris tournament. (Reporting by Clement Guillou, writing by Julien Pretot; Editing by John Mehaffey)
