BEIJING, Aug 5 (Reuters) - The International Olympic Committee, which has awarded thousands of gold, silver and bronze medals to athletes, celebrated a win itself with its museum restaurant.

Honorary IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch told the IOC session on Tuesday the organisation's museum restaurant in Lausanne was the Swiss town's biggest hit.

"I can say today that the museum restaurant is the most successful in Lausanne," Samaranch, more associated with hard commercial negotiations, said in his report on the museum's activities.
