Wal-Mart slips on concern about outlook
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wal-Mart (WMT.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) shares fell nearly 3 percent before the bell on Tuesday after the retailing bellwether's outlook signaled that its second-quarter earnings per share may trail Wall Street's current expectations.
In brisk trading before the opening bell, the stock was down $1.52 at $56.50 after closing Monday at $58.02. Year to date, the stock is up 22 percent and is the best performing component of the blue chip Dow Jones industrial average .DJI.
