UPS unveils 2009 rate hike
BOSTON (Reuters) - Package delivery company United Parcel Service Inc (UPS.N) said on Friday it plans to raise its prices next year.
The company plans to increase its rates for ground shipments by about 5.9 percent, with air shipments becoming on average 4.9 percent more expensive.
The new rates will take effect on January 5, it said.
