NEW YORK, March 16 (Reuters) - Kinder Morgan (KMI.N) said on Wednesday it restarted the majority of services at its 7.7 million barrel Carteret, New Jersey, terminal after a fire on Monday morning.
“About 1 million barrels capacity is still in storage and still affected by the fire,” Kinder Morgan spokesman Joe Hollier said.
A fire started in a manifold area at the terminal on Monday morning and was contained after 40 minutes with no injuries reported. The company then shut down its petroleum product lines as a precaution. (Reporting by Selam Gebrekidan; editing by Jim Marshall)
