TOLEDO, Ohio (Reuters) - New economic proposals outlined by Sen. Barack Obama on Monday would cost the federal treasury an estimated $60 billion over two years, an aide to the Democratic presidential nominee said.

"The new elements he is adding today would add another $60 billion," Jason Furman, Obama's economic policy director, told reporters in a conference call.
