TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore said on Tuesday he still had not decided whether to endorse a candidate in the Democratic presidential race.

"I have not made an endorsement and I will not do so today," Gore, replying to a reporter's question, said at a technology conference in Israel.

"I have not decided whether or when I will."

Gore, the Democrats' failed 2000 presidential candidate, is a superdelegate to the Democratic nominating convention that will be held in Denver in August.

Superdelegates, members of Congress and other party insiders free to vote for whom they want at the convention, could be key to determining the Democratic nominee in a close contest between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
