McCain says further action needed after bailout bill
FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (Reuters) - Republican presidential nominee John McCain commended the U.S. House of Representatives on Friday for passing a $700 billion Wall Street bailout bill but said further action was needed to help boost the struggling economy.
"This rescue bill isn't perfect. It's an outrage that it's even necessary," the Arizona senator told reporters.
"Our economy is still hurting, hurting badly. Further action is needed and it shouldn't take a crisis to get this country to act."
