U.S. to host Mideast peace conference on Nov 27
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States announced on Tuesday it will host a Middle East peace conference on November 27 in Annapolis, Maryland that Washington hopes will launch formal negotiations to create a Palestinian state.
In addition to Israel and the Palestinians, the United States has invited a group of key Arab states including Syria and Saudi Arabia to the meeting to be held at the U.S. Naval Academy, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said.
