Republican Romney pulls out of presidential race

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, who focused his bid for the party's nomination on turning around the U.S. economy, said in remarks prepared for a speech on Thursday he must "stand aside" and pull out of the race.
