Bush disappointed by OPEC decision: White House
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Wednesday said it was disappointed that OPEC chose to hold output steady in the face of record-high crude oil prices.
U.S. President George W. Bush "would have liked OPEC to have made a different decision. He is disappointed that they decided not to increase production," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
Bush "does not think it is a good idea for their biggest customers -- such as the United States -- to have an economic slowdown in part attributable because of high gas prices," Perino said at a press briefing.
