Judge denies class status in lawsuit over faulty Porsche wiring

A federal judge in San Jose has denied class status for a lawsuit against Porsche Cars North America alleging its 2005-2008 model 911 sportscars had faulty wiring that could cause them to stall.

In a decision on Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh said Porsche produced evidence that the wiring defect was not present in all class members’ cars and thus the dispute could not be resolved on a group basis.
