Techno-Sciences Appoints Jean-Luc Abaziou as New CEO

Former Senior Executive at Highland Capital Partners, Ericsson, Torrent
Networking and Alcatel Tapped to Lead Growth Initiatives and Strengthen the
Company`s Position as a Leader in Integrated Maritime Safety and Security
Solutions
BELTSVILLE, Md.--(Business Wire)--
Techno-Sciences, Inc. today announced the appointment of Jean-Luc Abaziou as the
company's CEO. Mr. Abaziou brings a long and impressive track record as an
international senior executive at technology leaders such as Ericsson and
Alcatel. His extensive background in general management and telecommunications
complements the strong technology, engineering and operations expertise of
Techno-Sciences' management team.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Abaziou was a venture partner at Highland Capital
Partners where he specialized in investments in network infrastructure and
wireless innovation, and took direct operational roles in some of the portfolio
companies. Prior to working with Highland Capital, Mr. Abaziou was Vice
President and General Manager of Ericsson IP Infrastructure, and President and
CEO of both Torrent Networking Technologies (acquired by Ericsson) and Alcatel
Data Networks. He has served on a number of boards and advisory boards,
including for the French Foreign Commerce Ministry, George Washington
University, the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of
Maryland, and the French-American Chamber of Commerce. He currently sits on the
board of California-based ANDA Networks.

Techno-Sciences' existing management team will report directly to Mr. Abaziou.
Dr. Gilmer Blankenship continues as Chairman of the Board of Directors and will
lead the company's technology vision and direction, augmented by Mr. Abaziou's
extensive business and telecommunications experience.
