HX and AX Lines of Devices Offer Low-Cost, Highly-Flexible Solutions for the
Carrier Ethernet and Unified Access Markets
STOCKHOLM--(Business Wire)--
Xelerated, the global leader in field-proven Carrier Ethernet ASSP-based
chipsets, today announced it was named a finalist in the Best New Product or
Service - Computer Hardware category of The 2009 International Business Awards.
Xelerated earned finalist honors for its HX family of network processors and AX
family of programmable ethernet switches for the Carrier Ethernet and unified
access markets, respectively.

The HX offers the low cost and power efficiency of custom-designed ASICs while
bringing the network processor advantages of reduced time to market and value
differentiation through software. The AX is the first line of devices to provide
network equipment vendors (NEVs) and carriers with a unified Ethernet-based FTTx
access solution for Active Ethernet, EPON, GPON, 10G PON, LTE and WiMAX using a
single design. These highly flexible solutions enable NEVs and carriers to
manage bandwidth-intensive applications, introduce new services and adapt to new
standards and requirements.

"We are excited to be selected as a finalist by the prestigious International
Business Awards, and extend our sincere congratulations to all other honorees,"
said Thomas Axelsson, CEO of Xelerated. "Our HX and AX product lines accelerate
return-on-investment and offer the highest flexibility solutions at the lowest
cost. This honor further supports our leading position in the Carrier Ethernet
and unified access markets."

The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business
awards program honoring great performances in business. Honorees were selected
from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more
than 30 countries.

"Despite the harsh economic climate, entries to the IBAs actually grew a bit
this year, and that illustrates the increasing importance of The International
Business Awards worldwide," said Michael Gallagher, president of The Stevie
Awards, presenters of the IBAs. "We congratulate all of the honorees, and we
look forward to recognizing them for their achievements at our gala awards
dinner in New York on September 14."
