Appirio Simplifies Contact Synchronization Between Salesforce and Google Apps
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 30 (MARKET WIRE) --
Google I/O Conference -- Appirio (www.appirio.com) today announced Appirio
Contact Sync for Salesforce and Google Apps, a simple tool to select and sync
contacts between Google Apps and Salesforce address books.
This is the fifth product offering from Appirio for users of Salesforce
for Google Apps. This new offering enables users to intelligently synchronize
contacts from
these two solutions, bringing together the business context of Salesforce with
the 'add-as-you-email' convenience of Gmail. Users save time by eliminating
the need to enter and maintain duplicate data in different systems, and they
improve productivity by being able to access their contacts no matter which
application they're in. Organizations in turn gain a more comprehensive,
up-to-date view of relevant business relationships.
The product is available today on www.appirio.com/products,
salesforce.com's AppExchange, and the Google Solutions Marketplace.
Appirio Contact Sync for Salesforce and Google Apps joins the other four
Appirio offerings that were featured last month during the Salesforce for
Google Apps announcement. These other offerings enable Salesforce and Google
Apps users to synchronize calendars, collaborate on marketing campaigns, find
and
embed documents, and create and share customized CRM dashboards. Three of the
four applications are currently listed on the AppExchange "Top 10" -- with
almost 1,000 downloads to date -- highlighting the time and productivity
gains these applications offer users.
Facts and Features of Appirio Contact Sync:
Appirio Contact Sync for Salesforce and Google Apps ensures that any time
you
create or update a contact in either Salesforce for Google Apps or Gmail, it
is automatically reflected in the other application. In addition to this core
functionality, Appirio also provides a set of valuable filters and features that
add intelligence to the synchronizing process.
-- Salesforce Filters: Because Salesforce maintains such a wealth of
data, users may want to filter which contacts should be synchronized with
Google Apps. Users can set filters based on any data in the contact, e.g.
who owns it, where it came from, and when it was last active.
-- Gmail Filters: Because contacts are automatically logged into Gmail
every time an email is sent, users may want to filter which contacts get
synchronized with Salesforce. Users can set filters based on items like
the email domain or the presence of a full name.
-- Update and fill in missing contact information: Take advantage of the
existing collaborative features within Salesforce by using a 'stay in
touch' email to prompt your contacts to update or fill in missing
information. The information they provide is automatically incorporated
into both Salesforce for Google Apps and your Gmail contacts.
Using the Force.com platform and Google's open APIs, Appirio will
continuously enhance the product by adding more valuable features based on
user feedback and suggestions. To provide suggestions or feedback, please
