Terresa Christenson Zimmerman Joins UTEK Corporation as Vice President of Marketing

TAMPA, Fla.--(Business Wire)--
UTEK Corporation (NYSE Amex: UTK), a leading IP licensing and innovation
services company has announced that branding and marketing veteran Terresa
Christenson Zimmerman has joined the Company. Zimmerman brings with her almost
twenty-years of global experience in marketing, branding, and public relations
in the technology and finance sectors.

As the Vice President of Marketing at UTEK, Mrs. Zimmerman will establish a
strategic branding and marketing function to position UTEK`s complete suite of
IP licensing and innovation services around the world.

Mrs. Zimmerman formerly served as a Director of Strategy at Siegel+Gale, an
Omnicom company, and then at Landor Associates, a WPP company, where she led
strategic branding initiatives for NVIDIA, Fiserv, Brocade, Gerdau, Teck,
Qualcomm and others. Previously, Zimmerman worked as a SVP Asia Pacific Managing
Director at Brodeur Worldwide, an Omnicom company, with clients such as Avnet,
Philips, IBM, LSI Logic, SunPower, and Cypress Semiconductor. In addition to her
traditional experience with strategic brand development, marketing,
communications and public relations, she also brings an impressive background of
business development and client services skills. Like UTEK`s IP licensing
business, her experience is global; educated in Silicon Valley at Santa Clara
University with complementary studies in Rouen, France, Zimmerman has also lived
and worked in Brussels, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

Zimmerman is currently a member of the Smithsonian American Art Council, Women`s
Forum West, a former President of WFW Legacy Foundation and Upwardly Global
Mentor. She served on the Executive Board of ArtSFest and serves as a
Mentor/Advisor to the Santa Clara University Global Social Benefit Incubator.
