Enables BroadSoft-powered Service Providers to Launch Communications Application
Stores
SANTA CLARA, Calif. & GAITHERSBURG, Md.--(Business Wire)--
Jamcracker, the on-demand services delivery company, and BroadSoft, Inc., the
worldwide leader of VoIP applications to the telecommunications industry, today
announced an alliance that enables BroadSoft-powered operators to launch
custom-branded application stores populated with communications applications and
services sourced through the BroadSoft® Xtended program. Powered by the
Jamcracker Services Delivery Network (JSDN), the BroadSoft Marketplace brings
together third-party applications and services that enrich the communication
experiences of business professionals and consumers.

According to Caroline Chappell, analyst at large for Heavy Reading, "Jamcracker
is emerging as the go-to choice for carriers that want to get to market quickly
with value-added services delivery, without having to incur the expense of
building their own delivery platform and negotiating dozens of new distribution
agreements. Meanwhile, BroadSoft is a leading provider of VoIP solutions to
carriers around the world. With this partnership, the two companies are
leveraging each other`s strengths to enable a new ecosystem of
BroadWorks®-enabled voice applications that accelerates and expands the
value-added services delivery opportunity for carriers and service providers of
all sizes."

Next Generation Business Applications - On-Demand

Through the Jamcracker and BroadSoft partnership, service providers can offer
BroadWorks-powered Xtended applications and services on demand via their own
online stores. Applications already available include a Voicemail-to-Text
transcription service from SpinVox, a mobile unified communications client from
MobileMax, and Quickset, an Adobe Air based desktop telephony application from
JoeDeveloper. Jamcracker and BroadSoft are also exploring the bundling of
Xtended applications with dozens of best-of-breed on-demand communications,
collaboration, and business application services that are already part of the
Jamcracker global services catalog. These include Hosted Microsoft® Exchange®,
SharePoint, Office Communications Server, BlackBerry® and WebEx® conferencing.

The partnership brings together two industry leaders. BroadSoft`s BroadWorks is
the de facto standard for VoIP application platforms. More than 450 service
providers in 71 countries rely on BroadSoft`s technology to deliver advanced
voice and video calling to businesses and consumers. The JSDN is used by
hundreds of carriers and IT service providers around the world to establish
private-branded marketplaces for delivering value-added services on-demand to
their customers and through existing distribution channels. The JSDN is a
complete services delivery solution that includes hosting, provisioning, SaaS
licensing management, billing, single sign-on, unified services administration
and customer support-and requires no complex, costly technology investments by
service providers.

"Tapping into third-party developer innovation, the Xtended program is
responsible for the creation of innovative communications applications and
services which telecommunications service providers can now offer to their end
users," said Leslie Ferry, vice president of marketing at BroadSoft. "Efficient
distribution, delivery and monetization of these applications is a key component
of Xtended. The power of the JSDN opens the BroadSoft ecosystem to recurring
revenue generating, value-added services."

"The integration of voice with Web, mobility and social networking applications
delivers a powerful productivity boost for businesses of all sizes," said Steve
Crawford, vice president of marketing for Jamcracker. "By adding BroadSoft`s
portfolio of Xtended applications to the Jamcracker Services Delivery Network,
we are enabling carriers to deliver a new set of business productivity solutions
to their customer bases, which will help differentiate their core service
offerings and generate new, recurring revenue streams."
