District Council 33 and City of Philadelphia Continue Negotiations on City
Contract.

PHILADELPHIA, June 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The union representing 12,000
Philadelphia City workers will continue to negotiate with the City of
Philadelphia for a new agreement to replace the contract that expires at
midnight tonight.

Pete Matthews, the President of AFSCME District Council 33, said the union
would not comment on contract negotiations in the media but that all District
Council 33 members would continue to work during negotiations.

"As of today, we have notified all District Council 33 members to keep working
as we continue to negotiate a contract settlement with the City," said
Matthews.
