Kewanee School District Chooses Horizon DataSys Disaster Recovery Solution to Protect Its Workstations

BLAINE, Wash.--(Business Wire)--
Horizon DataSys, a provider of cost-effective and reliable data

announced that Kewanee School District chose the Horizon DataSys
rollback software to protect workstations used by 1,800 students.
Drive Vaccine, a version of the Horizon DataSys flagship software
Rollback Rx Pro, was customized for the educational market. The main
idea behind this customization was for the respective system to return
to its standard configuration once a user logs off, avoiding any
software corruption and not requiring the intervention of the IT
personnel.

Mike Perva, IT director for Kewanee School District 229, manages a
distributed network of more than 700 machines (both PC and Mac) with
an IT department of only two people. Disaster recovery has always been
a challenge, and, while searching for the right DR solution, the
district looked at several options that were too slow and
labor-intensive.

learning student.
