Real-Time SMS-Voted People's Choice Winner Helps Websites Make Money

SAN FRANCISCO, April 25 /PRNewswire/ -- TechWeb (Formerly CMP) and
O'Reilly Media, Inc., co-producers of the annual Web 2.0 Expo, today announced
the winner of the Launch Pad start up program. Triggit, one of six on-stage
presenters, took home the title of People's Choice Winner on Thursday, April
24th during Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco at Moscone West.
This year Web 2.0 Expo hosted a Venture Capital Edition of the Launch Pad
program, showcasing the best Web 2.0 startups and providing a unique public
forum for unveiling new companies and products. Web 2.0 Expo, in its second
year, is the leading global gathering of developers, designers, marketers, and
business professionals building the next generation Web.

Triggit (http://www.triggit.com), the winning startup, helps bloggers and
small website owners make money. This simple WYSIWYG editing tool uses just
one line of JavaScript to enable instant drag-and-drop publishing of AdSense,
Amazon and other affiliate programs and ad networks. Triggit can source,
integrate, optimize and track ads on the site, making ad management and
monetization pain-free.
"We're thrilled with being titled People's Choice Winner at Web 2.0 Expo
San Francisco," said Zachery Coelius, Triggit CEO. Voting was conducted at
Launch Pad via a real-time SMS system where the audience was asked to play the
role of VC and select the company of their choice.
"Competition was tough this year because of all the interest in the new
Launch Pad: VC Edition format," said Brady Forrest, Web 2.0 Expo Co-Chair.
"Triggit was one of 160 companies that vied to be on stage this year so they
deserve a big round of applause for winning over the VC judges and audience
with their live demo presentation. We'll be watching this promising company."
A forum for creativity, engineering, and innovation, Web 2.0 Expo San
Francisco includes a multi-track conference, an "unconference" program called
Web2Open, a major tradeshow, and many networking events. Web 2.0 Expo will
hold its first New York event September 16-19 and will return to Berlin for
Expo Europe in late October 2008. Both events will feature Launch Pad.
