2305, Judge Stewart Palmer
PRESS CONFERENCE TO FOLLOW IN LOBBY OF RICHARD J. DALEY CENTER
CHICAGO, July 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The first hearing for injunctive
relief will be held today at 2:00 pm before the Honorable Judge Palmer of the
Richard J. Daley Center, room 2305.
"This will be the first opportunity for a judge to review the horrible
conditions at Burr Oaks and provide some comfort to family members," says
Blake Horwitz, one of the attorneys for the bereaved. "We are going to court
to prohibit any activity which further damages the graves of the loved ones
buried there," says Deidra Baumann, attorney for the Plaintiffs.
The injunction will ask the Court to prohibit destruction of grave sites,
allow Thomas Dart be named as receiver (to control the cemetery), allow
evidence to be secured and other relief.
Further details of the court activity will be generated today, immediately
after the hearing in the lobby of the Court house.
A representative of the office of Dan Hynes, Sheriff Dart and the Burr Oaks
cemetery are noticed to appear at the hearing.
