Treasury Shares

DCC plc announces that on 8 January 2008, 8,000 shares were transferred out of
the Company's holding of treasury shares pursuant to the exercise of options
under the DCC plc 1998 Employee Share Option Scheme. The subscription price
paid for these shares was €8.13 per share.

DCC now has a total of 80,578,849 shares in issue excluding treasury shares and
7,650,555 shares held in treasury.
