IRVINE, Calif.--(Business Wire)--As part of its growing line of over 170 INSTEON-compatible
products, SmartLabs, Inc. announces the launch of its new OutletLinc,
the world's first INSTEON-compatible electrical outlet. This
Decora-style receptacle replaces a standard outlet for easy, INSTEON
control of almost any plug-in light or appliance.

Controllable from any INSTEON-compatible wired or wireless
controller, the INSTEON Remote-Control Outlet inserts easily into any
X10 network. OutletLinc is a duplex receptacle with one always-on
outlet and one controlled outlet, which can be added to lighting
scenes in seconds. The controlled outlet's 15-amp relay is powerful
enough to control most appliances. Available in white, ivory, almond,
and black, OutletLinc blends in seamlessly with an INSTEON network and
any home decor.

"Plug-in modules like the LampLinc are great for remotely
controlling devices that might need to be moved, but for an exposed
outlet, most people prefer the clean lines of a standard outlet," said
Laurie Maroni, SmartLabs VP, Marketing. "The OutletLinc wires in like
a standard electrical receptacle, but since the top outlet is
controlled by INSTEON, people can control pretty much any plug-in
device remotely, without connecting a bulky plug-in module."

The INSTEON Remote-Control Outlet is available at Smarthome.com
starting at $45.99.
