Cast Iron Reports Record Growth During FY2007
MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, Dec 18 (MARKET WIRE) --
Cast Iron Systems, the fastest growing integration appliance vendor, today
reported
breakthrough results for Fiscal Year 2007, which ended on November 30th. The
company experienced 192 percent growth in contract value over FY2006, and more
than doubled its installed base over the same period. Cast Iron continued its
strong momentum with the introductions of innovative new products and
partnerships, particularly in the dynamic Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)
market.
"Cast Iron's rapid growth is a clear indicator that our configuration
approach to
integration is well suited to the needs of business," said Ken Comee, CEO at
Cast Iron. "Our leadership in the industry and in the expanding SaaS segment
is a result of growing demand for integration appliances and effective
execution of our strategy by the Cast Iron team."
Customer Momentum
New customers in 2007 include 360 Vantage, Awana International, Bennetts
Business
Systems, Capital Institutional Services (CAPIS), Cypress Equities, EMI Music,
JobScience, MedAmerica Billing Services, Peet's Coffee & Tea, The Schumacher
Group, SonicWALL, and Tesla Motors, among many others.
-- A growing international ministry partnered with more than 15,000
churches in over 100 countries, Awana uses the Cast Iron Integration
Appliance to integrate its JD Edwards ERP system with its Salesforce CRM
system and many other business applications. Working with Cast Iron, the
company completed its original integration within two weeks, giving
employees immediate access to the data they need to do their jobs
efficiently and cost effectively.
-- After evaluating alternative solutions, Magma Design Automation, a
leading provider of chip design software, chose to use the Cast Iron
Integration Appliance, and rapidly expanded adoption of salesforce.com by
Magma end users, reducing IT costs and dependency on legacy applications.
After completing its initial salesforce.com and SAP integration, Magma used
the Cast Iron Integration Appliance as a scalable integration platform for
many more integration projects, winning the Salesforce Top Customizer Award
and DM Review's Innovative Solution Award.
-- The fastest growing and third largest provider of emergency medicine
practice management, The Schumacher Group is using the Cast Iron
Integration Appliance to integrate scheduling, billing, and payment
information for 2,400 physicians in 140 emergency rooms in 17 states across
its enterprise business applications. As a result, Schumacher's CIO, Doug
Menefee, was honored with the Chief Innovation Officer Award at Dreamforce
'07, the salesforce.com user and developer conference. He was chosen from
35,300 customers in recognition of his leadership in driving innovation by
integrating salesforce.com with PeopleSoft using Cast Iron technology.
"Continuing rapid growth in our customer base in 2007 validates our
appliance model," said George Gallegos, vice president of sales at Cast Iron.
"The Cast Iron Integration Appliance continues to deliver extensible
capabilities
and long-term, sustainable business value for users of Oracle, RightNow,
salesforce.com, and SAP, as well as many other leading applications."
SaaS Leadership and Product Innovation
In 2007, Cast Iron has extended its market leadership in SaaS and the
mid-market through product innovation, introducing integration appliances built
specifically for NetSuite, RightNow, salesforce.com, SAP, and small- to
businesses.
-- Cast Iron introduced a line of integration appliances, certified by
SAP America, Inc., designed to integrate SAP applications with other
enterprise systems in days.
-- Enterprise and small- to mid-sized customers across 14 industries used
the Cast Iron Integration Appliance and Salesforce AppExchange to integrate
more than 40 of the most popular applications and databases.
-- Cast Iron launched integration appliances designed specifically for
RightNow's on-demand CRM solutions. Requiring no software to purchase,
install, or maintain, these appliances reduce integration costs by as much
as 80 percent and accelerate RightNow integration projects with built-in
technology that integrates RightNow with all major applications and
endpoints.
-- Cast Iron introduced the comprehensive and cost-effective iA2000
appliance for small- to mid-sized businesses. The iA2000 enables SMBs to
use scaleable integration appliances -- instead of custom code or third-
party proprietary software -- to simplify their application integration
efforts, saving both time and expense.
"The innovative Cast Iron appliance is transforming the application integration
market," said Mark Kvamme, Cast Iron board member and Sequoia Capital partner.
"The company's growth in customers, products, and contract value are proof of
their growing success. I am confident that Cast Iron will set the agenda for
application integration in 2008."
