Vanguard Enforcer(TM) Impresses Judges with Leading Edge Intrusion Prevention
and Management Capabilities

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Vanguard Integrity Professionals, Inc. today
announced that its Vanguard Enforcer solution was honored with the 2009 GSN
Homeland Security Award for Best Intrusion Detection/Prevention System.

"This was one of the most hotly contested categories in the Awards program,"
said Government Security News Chairman Adrian Courtenay. "Vanguard Enforcer
was a big hit with our panel of judges, probably because it goes beyond event
monitoring and actually finds vulnerabilities and prevents intrusions by
continuously inspecting the underlying security implementation."

Vanguard Enforcer protects critical infrastructure and major applications for
federal agencies and large enterprises by ensuring that configuration controls
and compliance standards are in place and enforced. The underlying technology
behind the solution is used to assure system integrity and fault-tolerant
security for systems on manned space flight missions for NASA (National
Aeronautics and Space Administration). With an EAL3+ Common Criteria (CC)
certification rating, Enforcer continually identifies policy violations,
vulnerabilities and threat agents and can be configured to take immediate
action without human intervention (autonomous security). As a component of
Vanguard's Assurance and Compliance Solution suite, Enforcer was developed to
exceed the most demanding intrusion management requirements for sensitive and
mission critical systems.

"We are honored that GSN recognized our intrusion management solution with
this prestigious award," said Vanguard CEO/CTO Ronn Bailey. "We take great
pride in developing services and solutions that protect critical
infrastructure and automate complex security management processes. The needs
of the nation state and those of corporate America are not so different. With
Enforcer, we have demonstrated that one solution can serve national security
interests and ensure economic survival at the national level and in the
private sector equally well."

Vanguard executives are actively engaged with leaders in the government, DoD,
intelligence community and private sector to promote industry best practices,
advance cyber policy and raise awareness about new security risks and threat
sources.

"The competition was stiff, and our panel of independent judges had to make
some very tough choices, but we think we've identified the 'best of the best'
for 2009," said Jacob Goodwin, the editor-in-chief of GSN: Government Security
News, who oversaw the evaluation process.

The Annual Homeland Security Awards Program was created by GSN to honor the
dedicated government officials who have created and executed effective
security programs across the country, along with the leading vendors in IT and
physical security who have researched, developed and supplied innovative
security solutions during the past year.
