Kahiki Foods Appoints Packaged Foods Experts to Board of Directors

GAHANNA, Ohio, July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Kahiki Foods, Inc. today
announced it has appointed consumer packaged goods marketing experts Lynn
Clarke and Tammy Katz as Advisory Members to its Board of Directors.

Lynn Clarke is currently CEO of MetroKitchen.com, an 11-year-old Internet
retailer of upscale brands of cookware, knives, and kitchen accessories, sold
directly to consumers. Previously, she spent seventeen years at PepsiCo and
General Mills before becoming CEO at two private equity companies. Clarke
presently serves on the Board of Directors of Pittsburgh-based ABARTA, Inc.
(Kahiki's parent company), and is a National Trustee of the Pennsylvania
Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Clarke is also a member of Women
Corporate Directors and the Young Presidents Organization. She resides in
Greenwich, Connecticut and Atlanta, Georgia.

Tammy Katz is currently CEO of Katz Marketing Solutions, a marketing and brand
management consulting firm. Katz is a veteran consumer goods marketing
executive and has led marketing of major brands, including Miller Lite, Ortho,
RoundUp, Enfamil, Boost, Dearfoams, Borden, Titebond, Pathlore, and Ruffles,
both as an industry marketing executive and consultant. Katz presently serves
on the Board of Directors of Monterey Gourmet Foods and several central Ohio
non-profit boards. Katz is also an Adjunct Instructor of Brand Management at
the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. She resides in
Columbus, Ohio.

Last year Kahiki charted new record-highs in overall sales, year-over-year
growth and output per direct labor hour. The company was selected in March as
the recipient of Refrigerated and Frozen Foods magazine's "Food Plant of the
