NewPage to Release Second Quarter 2009 Financial Results and Webcast
Conference Call on August 12, 2009


MIAMISBURG, Ohio, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- NewPage Corporation announced today
that it will release its second quarter 2009 financial results on Wednesday,
August 12, 2009, before the market opens. The news release will be available

The company will broadcast its second quarter 2009 analyst conference call on
Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. (ET) with access available through
the Internet and telephone.  The teleconference is expected to last one hour. 
Richard D. Willett, Jr., president and chief executive officer, will review
operating performance, and David J. Prystash, senior vice president and chief
financial officer, will review the financial results.

The live conference call and presentation slides may be accessed on the
