CALGARY, ALBERTA, Jul 13 (MARKET WIRE) --
Editors note: A video is included with this press release on Marketwire's
website.

The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) is inviting
passengers to "pack smart" and go through security screening faster this
summer. Today at the Calgary International Airport, CATSA unveiled new
ways to better inform air travellers before they leave for their trip.

CATSA will post new videos on its Website and on Youtube that show how to
pack smart and what to expect at the security checkpoint. The first video
shows how liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) must be packed.

A recent survey demonstrated that 65% of passengers will make their
travel arrangements online. 81% stated that the Internet is a good way to
reach them. CATSA wants to use social media to reach air travellers
before they make their way to the airport.

When everyone complies with the regulations, security screening is more
efficient, and the travel experience is more pleasant.

    TIPS FOR TRAVELLERS:

    LAGs Regulations:

    - LAGs must be in containers of 100 ml or less (including sunscreen,
cosmetics, bug repellent and hand sanitizer).

    - All containers must fit in a 1-litre clear, resealable plastic bag.

    - Only one bag allowed per person.

    Computers and Electronics:

    - All laptop computers, video cameras with cassette, and cameras with
film should be removed from their carrying cases and placed in a separate
tray.

    Camping and Sporting Gear:

    - Flammable camping items such as gas containers for barbecues and
strike-anywhere wooden matches are not allowed in carry-on or checked
baggage.

    - Sports equipment such as golf clubs and baseball bats should be placed
in checked baggage.

    - Pepper spray and animal repellent (bear spray) are not allowed in
carry-on or checked baggage.

    QUOTES:

Kevin McGarr, CATSA's President and Chief Executive Officer:

    - "We believe that well informed and better prepared air travellers can
contribute to a more effective and efficient screening process."

    - "Through smart packing, we can reduce stress and congestion at
screening checkpoints during the busy summer travel period."

    ABOUT CATSA:
