International Fellowship of Christians and Jews Marks 25 Years in Chicago With Major New Program to Assist Holocaust Survivors

WHAT: The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, founded
25 years ago in Chicago by Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, has
brought together Christians, evangelicals and Jews to
support security for Israel and other shared causes.
The Fellowship will hold a major two-day conference and
celebration September 22-23 in Chicago. Hundreds of IFCJ
supporters, both Christians and Jews, will come together to
show their solidarity with Israel. A major assistance
program for needy Holocaust survivors, in Israel and
elsewhere, will be announced.
WHO: Leading Christian evangelicals, Jewish and Israeli leaders
will attend and speak. They include: Dr. Pat Robertson,
Jonathan Falwell, Gary Bauer and Ralph Reed, Jr. and the
Israeli ambassador to the U.S., His Excellency Sallai

WHEN: Media availability with Rabbi Eckstein concerning the
Holocaust Survivor program will be at 12:00 pm on Monday,
September 22, in Red Lacquer Room, preceding the start of
conference at 1:00 pm.

OTHER: Last year the organization provided some $60 million in
assistance. Programs include helping Jews immigrate to
Israel ("On the Wings of Eagles"), assistance to
impoverished Jews in Israel and countries of the former
Soviet Union and political advocacy on behalf of Israel in
the United States.
